What a perfect summer evening I spent with Jen, Jarrod and their two little girls! The sun was pouring down on us while the birds chirped in the trees… Jen is such a naturally good mama, just enjoying cuddling under a tree with her new baby girl. This was truly what photographing a newborn should be all about. Nature, Love and Cuddling!
Everyone, meet Jody, Ross and their new little addition Lane! Jody is my sister-in-laws sister, so we are practically related.I had the pleasure of meeting up with them to photograph their son Lane when he was only six days old. We originally wanted to do an outdoor family/newborn session but it was pouring on the only available day we had, so we snapped a few shots inside for her announcements. Then we met up one evening when he was almost a month old to get some family photos in a beautiful little field. This little guy is such a doll! He never cried not even once!
We had the perfect tea party scheduled for Lola’s 3rd birthday! And then…. She cut her own bangs. We rescheduled. And then…. She gave herself the biggest goose egg I have ever seen! So three months later, here we are! Third times a charm! Her little brother Justin spent the first half of the photo session at his sister’s tea party playfully throwing all of the powdered donuts on the ground. Then Lola spent the second half of the shoot throwing rocks into the river with her brother. It was a perfect evening! It is always so much fun when we just let kids be kids and do what they want to do instead of trying to get them to say “cheeeeese”. I feel you get much more natural photographs that will someday remind you of the small children your kids once were… <3
